Catholic Charities programs serve people of all faiths, or no faith. We help those who are most vulnerable in our communities by empowering individuals and supporting families who are in need. Some clients pay a fee for our services, but we do not turn away anyone who cannot afford it. We respect people of all backgrounds, and we welcome anyone who needs us.

The Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinics (MVLCs) provide free brief legal advice on civil (non-criminal) matters. The clinics are staffed by volunteer law students and attorneys. Clinic services fill up quickly due to the high need and limited availability of free legal help.

Community Center for Immigrants (CCI) provides affordable immigration legal services to guide immigrants through the naturalization process. We assist with citizenship applications (N-400s), green cards for refugee arrivals, and more.

Sojourner Family Peace Center is the most comprehensive nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention services in Wisconsin, serving nearly 10,000 clients each year. Established in 1975, Sojourner provides an array of support aimed at helping families affected by domestic violence achieve safety, justice and well-being. Our primary goals are to ensure the safety of victims of family violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.

As a national voice, ECDC brings a global perspective to issues affecting refugees in the United States and around the world. ECDC established a nationwide refugee resettlement program in 1991. Headquartered in Arlington, VA, ECDC operates throughout a network of 8 branch and 16 affiliate offices across eighteen different States. ECDC Wausau is proud to be an official branch site of ECDC MCC and currently serves as the only Wisconsin location.

At World Relief Wisconsin, we come alongside refugees and other immigrants in vulnerable situations as they rebuild their lives in the United States. In the last 12 years, we’ve welcomed over 1,500 immigrants and refugees into the Fox Valley region. Our offices in Appleton and Oshkosh offer refugee resettlement services, extended case management, immigration legal services, employment services and English education classes.
